Frequently Asked Questions
Internet Control Module
What is an Energy ICM?
The Energy ICM (Internet Communication Module) connects to Honeywell thermostats and monitors
information such as set points, temperature, heating/cooling status, and system error messages. The
Energy ICM sends this information to In2’s In2MyHome Server, allowing home and business owners to
control their thermostats and implement energy-saving strategies. Users can access the server from any
computer with an Internet connection.
How can I access my equipment from a remote location?
Use the www.in2myhome.com server to access your system from anywhere. The basic service is free and allows you to see the current
status of the system. Silver service lets you control thermostats, lights and security, view logs and usage information. You can also program
thermostats from the web using the silver service.
How do I setup my ICM?
Most of the ICM setup process is automatic. Go to http://myhome/setup from a web browser on the same local networks as the ICM to access the setup pages.
How do I upgrade my ICM?
Go to setup http://myhome/setup and click on Advanced, then Upgrade. Select the ICM you want to upgrade and
then click the AutoUpgrade button. The ICM will get the latest firmware from the web. The "Latest version information" link gives information
about the latest firmware and upgrading.
Why does my vista ICM display say "ICM Address 23"?
The Vista security panel considers the Vista ICM another keypad. The Vista ICM uses address 23 by default, and displays this message until the Vista
security panel is programmed with a keypad at address 23. Contact your security system installer to configure the Vista panel.

Where do I find the key required to register my ICM on the In2MyHome server?
The key is printed in the MAC address sticker on the ICM, and also on the green card that came with the ICM. Some vista ICMs shipped without a key,
if you have a Vista without a key get the MAC address from the ICM sticker or from the setup pages, and then call In2 Networks support to get a key.
What is In2MyHome?
In2MyHome (www.In2MyHome.com) is the website that communicates with ICMs. The
In2MyHome website is a powerful tool for your customers. The website allows your customers to
manage their HVAC systems from anywhere in the world, 24/7. In addition, the website makes
operating a thermostat much easier and provides features a thermostat alone cannot accomplish.
What is EcoConcierge?
EcoConcierge is the old name for In2MyHome. While both clever and French, the URL was just too much typing.
How does In2MyHome work?
In2MyHome is based on three fundamental principles:
- In2MyHome simplifies tedious tasks like programming a thermostat. Did you know at least
80% of people never program their thermostat? A properly programmed thermostat can
reduce energy consumption 30%.
- It is impossible to make a difference on last month’s bill after the fact. In2MyHome tells you how much you
are using while you can still make a difference. Consumption feedback has proven to reduce
consumption from 5% to 20%.
- In2MyHome provides tools and tips to help eliminate energy waste. For example,
a. In2MyHome monitors thermostat settings and sends the homeowner an email when a
program is not running or the program running is not optimal.
b. In2MyHome locks the thermostat, so the thermostat cannot be changed by your children.
c. In2MyHome allows you to set consumption limits and sends notification when you exceed
the limits.
